OUR
PURPOSE |
| |
|
| |
The purpose of campus ministry is to bring Christ to
the students, faculty, and staff of your campus. Anything
short of this purpose would be meaningless and would soon
end up failing like other youth social reform programs.
The emphasis of campus ministry is for every student to
come to know Christ personally. That will happen only
if every student has a clear presentation of who Jesus
really is. Christ can never be presented as a denomination,
club, or cause. He is a person.
This presentation must be seen and heard. The reality
of the hope of Jesus changing a life must be demonstrated
through your life. You are the only Bible many will
ever read, and you are the only Jesus that many will
ever see. The days of saying, "Don’t look
at me just look at Jesus," must end. We must be
willing to take a stand and live for Christ so we can
say "Follow my example, as I follow the example
of Christ" (1 Corinthians 11:1). We cannot just
talk the talk of Christianity; we must also be willing
to walk the talk. Though with others we share Christ
and what He has done in our lives, our actions will
speak louder than our words. 1 |

OUR
MISSION |
| |
|
| |
To communicate the Gospel of Jesus Christ to every
student.
- Every student should have the opportunity to know
Jesus Christ personally.
- Our schools are our mission field.
- Prayer is at the heart of reaching our schools for
Christ.
- The Bible is our sole guide.
- The local church is vital to a student's spiritual
life.
- To reach every student, Christians must cooperate
and have respect for each other.
There are many different ways to reach students on
our campuses, but they all have the same goal.

OUR
STRATEGY |
| |
|
| |
- Loving students with an unconditional (agape) love.
God created everyone special.
- Taking the initiative in evangelism, sharing Christ
with students. We never know if we’ll have another
opportunity.
- Making it our goal to help reach out to every student
on our campuses. Every student matters!
- Giving every Christian a chance to be discipled.
Growing Christians make a difference.
- Teaching the ministry of the Holy Spirit and how
to walk in His power. That’s the way to make
it happen "24/7."
- Helping students reach other students. The best
person to reach a student is another student.
- Getting students involved in local churches. Logs
pulled away from the fire quickly lose their flame.
- Working with other Christian groups at our schools.
A lot of hands make the work lighter—and more
fun. 5

OUR
COVENANT |
| |
|
| |
Our Covenant is a covenant to pursue a relationship
with Christ that leads us to reach this generation with
the Gospel.
Believing God has a special destiny and mission for
us and this generation, we take this challenge, relying
on the Holy Spirit.
We join young people and youth workers across our country
to pray for a spiritual awakening, and to help take
the message of Christ to every school and every young
person. |

STUDENT
CHALLENGE |
| |
|

to a love relationship with Jesus Christ...through
praying, studying His Word, and allowing His Spirit
to lead me each day. Matthew 22:36-38
- Honor Christ
in my moral life... my thoughts, words, actions and
relationships. 1 Timothy 4:12
- Respect my
parents and all authorities in my life...with love,
honor and obedience. Ephesians 6:1-3 Romans 13:1
- Involve myself
in encouraging and uniting with other Christians ...
regardless of race or social status. Hebrews 10:24-25
- Seek God through
prayer...asking Him daily to bring spiritual awakening
to my generation. 2 Chronicles 7:14
- Take the message
of Christ to my school and world... by praying, living
and witnessing so that every student has the opportunity
to know Christ. Acts 1:8. 4
